Ocean Riders

I ride on my horse,
his silver mane glistens beneath the smiling sun.
We ride out towards the cerulean ocean,
and the ivory colored sand.
My love rides next to me on a midnight horse whom he calls "Black Magic."
I hear my love whisper words like powdered sugar
to me, and with a smile, we both begin to gallop on the beach.
I can taste the salty mist of the ocean on my lips, and I can feel the wind gently caressing my hair the way my love does when I am fearful.
My eyes gaze up into the sky, and I could vividly see the bluebirds flying freely to an unknown destination.
My love and I listen to the pounding hooves of our horses.
Oh how they pound like thunder!
As my love and I dismount our horses, we lie in the soft, ivory sand together.
The smell of his skin makes me feel safe, and then he whispers into my ear, "It is time."
We mount our horses, and we gallop off into the sunset.
This is our destiny: We were meant to be ocean riders!
