Symbolism and Works of Art

In this psychedelic painting, I believe the flowers to be symbolic of people. The fact that these flowers are different colors could represent a blending of various cultures. Since the flowers are close to each other, and are essentially overlapping each other, I believe them to be exchanging ideas and customs with one another. As a result of this extraordinary sense of unity, they grow from their shared experiences. As they gaze back into their distorted, mirror images, I believe them to be mentally reflecting on the discoveries and events revealed between each of them. Finally, I believe them to be contemplating about telling the next generation of flowers how that remarkable gathering has impacted all of their lives.

In this lovely painting, I believe these horses to be symbolizing adolescents who are traveling from childhood into adulthood. They are running freely towards new dreams and goals that they have been constantly creating in their minds. The cloudy sky resembles the idea that they will have obstacles that lie ahead, and that these obstacles will try to hinder the efforts of the horses who are traveling together down different paths to a bright new future. However, the sun symbolizes hope and also acts as a guiding star, should the horses ever lose their way.
